Excavator Oil Seal Field Replacement Tips to be more than 10 times more efficient!

According to the traditional method, the replacement of excavator oil seal is both time-consuming and laborious; and by the site and equipment limitations, can not be quickly replaced and repair in the field. Here, I'd like to introduce a set of rapid oil seal replacement methods, greatly improving the maintenance efficiency.

Here, I would like to introduce a set of rapid replacement of oil seals, can improve the efficiency of 15 to 20 times, greatly improving the maintenance efficiency.

Dynamic arm cylinder oil seal replacement

 

Moving arm cylinder oil is heavier, the replacement of its oil seals, such as in the maintenance workshop by the conditions, is able to be completed in a relatively short period of time, but in the field, neither lifting equipment and is a single person operation, it is quite difficult. So how to do it? We need to prepare a hand hoist, 4 lengths of wire rope, plus other related tools can be completed; specific steps are as follows:

 

Step 1: First of all, the excavator will be parked, the bucket bar to the end, lowering the arm, the bucket flat down to the ground.

 

Step 2: Put the wire rope on the movable arm, the short wire rope on the upper end of the movable arm cylinder, use the iron hooks on both ends of the hand hoist to hold the two wire ropes, and then tighten the chain.

 

Step 3: Pull out the pin on the head of the piston rod of the movable arm cylinder, remove the inlet and outlet oil pipes, and put the movable arm cylinder on the platform.

 

Step 4: Remove the card spring and card key on the movable arm cylinder, stuff rubber strips in the card slot, put suitable steel wire rope on the bucket arm which is flush with the height of the movable arm cylinder and in the pin hole of the piston rod of the movable arm cylinder, connect it with the hand hoist respectively, and then tighten the chain, then the piston rod can be pulled out.

 

Step 5: Replace the oil seal, and then reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly. If 3 people work together, it only takes about 10 minutes to complete.

 

 

Replacement of the oil seal of the central rotary joint

 

Step 1: First unscrew the set screws associated with it, then drag the lower transmission box with the liftable hydraulic pannier and rotate it at a certain angle, then let it drop the pannier and yank the lower transmission box to one side.

 

Step 2: Cut off the return line with an oil cutoff (so that a large amount of hydraulic fluid doesn't flow down the core when you pull out the center return adapter core). Unscrew the 4 set screws on the oil distribution pan.

 

Step 3: Hang the iron hooks on both sides of the puller on the two oil pipe fittings on both sides of the core; then jack the vertical drive shaft, lift the jack at the same time can be pulled out of the core, you can replace the oil seal on it.

 

Step 4: Drag the core of the central rotary joint with the top set, and then push the core back to the original place with a 1.5t jack, and other parts can be reinstalled in the reverse order of disassembly.

 

The whole process only requires a single person to work (can also work together), without the need to dismantle any of the oil pipe. Liftable hydraulic small frame car can be modified with horizontal jacks, or with the existing small frame car, and the oil breakers can be used to replace the fire-fixing rubber card, tensioner can be homemade, which consists of a base plate and adjustable chain, with the jack can be completed. The whole operation does not need other auxiliary equipment, the tools used are also very simple, especially suitable for rapid repair in the field.
